Copper-Wire · Two-Layer Address

P9871 / P9874 / P9875

Purpose-built for copper-wire and PVC-wire lights. The P9871's two-layer address (18-bit laser fuse + 8-bit poly fuse) lets a single feed reel complete both assembly and addressing on an automated SMD line; the parallel structure supports automatic detection of faulty beads and re-addressing after replacement.

Patented two-section address design (10 bits split into 6+4), so one chip recognizes two sets of information at once. Laser-trim grading of functions — synchronized/random blink, 1–32 fixed codes, and fixed-plus-random sectioned combinations — covers high-volume full-color tree lights across price points.

Sizing note Frame rate (FPS) is inversely proportional to beads per channel: at a 3µs code speed, 200 beads on a single string gives roughly 16 FPS. The chips are produced on a mature 8-inch process line in Taiwan and fully tested at our own wafer-probe facility. The connection structure supports two topologies: all-parallel (simple process, PWM-adjustable total power) and serial-parallel (more lamps per supply, longer signal reach).

P9864 / P9866 series — serial-parallel programmable pixel control

The flagship full-pixel series: beads assembled at random, addressed in-line on the production line. The P9866 is a third-generation anti-interference architecture, with versions for both high- and low-voltage applications.

Parameter notes Detective voltage is the reference for measuring waveform width; choose the version to match your supply (low-voltage DC / high-voltage AC-to-DC / battery). A smaller code speed T0L allows a higher per-channel frame rate. Constant-current versions hold output current steady against voltage fluctuation for better color consistency. Clamp voltage is the built-in regulation value; parallel parts (NA) are defined directly by the external supply. Table values are typical — design to the datasheet, which you can request by email (please note your application).

Compatible with off-the-shelf host software: SPI video is converted to the carrier protocol in one step, and graphics (mapping) and video (AVI) files play back offline once composed — a direct route into the signage and city-lighting ecosystem.
