From LED display driving and single-point control chips (the D9813, D9823 generations) to being first to volume-produce power-line carrier pixel-control solutions, PowerMOS has always circled one thing: controlling more light with fewer wires.
Today PowerMOS has built three business directions around the carrier chip — driver chips (IC design, testing, bead packaging and finished-product inspection); controllers (app software, Wi-Fi/Bluetooth modules, SD-card multi-channel controllers and protocol converters); and innovative end-user application products.

Company founded
Founded in Shenzhen to design LED driver ICs, entering the market early with display and signage driver chips.
The single-point control era
The D9813 was first to integrate the latch onto the chip and drop one signal line; the D9823 went further, merging clock and data — putting PowerMOS at the forefront of the three-wire single-point control generation.
Power-line carrier architecture takes shape
The fundamental two-wire architecture carrying both power and data passed volume validation, and secured key patents such as segmented-address fast search.
The full-pixel volume-production era
In-line addressing was integrated with the automated string line, and the P9864 series passed 50KK shipments in the low-voltage market.
High-voltage anti-interference and ecosystem growth
The P9866 generation opened up high-voltage AC 110/220V applications; the controller, converter and app ecosystem took shape, extending into the signage and city-lighting markets.
